Alabaster Box set for 4 venues in London

Ghana’s leading Acappella quartet, the Alabaster Box is set to rock four venues in London before returning to Ghana early next month. The four venues as Jesushouse (RCCG, London), Calvary Charismatic Baptist Church (CCBC), Praise Chapel and Trinity Baptist Church (TBC). The group has been in the UK for the past three weeks, lifting the flag of Ghana high at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, with their unique one-hour Afroppella package dubbed “Sounds from Gold Coast”. In Scotland, the group also did nightly evangelistic concerts with Carrubbers Christian Centre, during which thousands of souls were reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Caning at worship: Gospel musician, Kwamena Idan file assault complaint

Gospel musician Ernest Opoku and host of Adom FM’s live worship, Kwamena Idan, have filed a formal complaint against Kumawood actress Nayas with the Nima Police. The two filed the complaint after the actress stormed the station to attack the gospel musician. A furious Nayas, who is a producer and actress, stormed the station with a cane hidden in her dress and attacked the musician over comments the musician had sex with her. The musician was in the spirit as he lifted songs of worship to God but it was the whip from the actress that descended, disrupting the program. Ernest Opoku and Kwamena Idan filed the complaint on Monday, a few hours after the incident, and the police have commenced investigations into the issue. Ebony was severally abused by Bullet – Father reveals

Nana Opoku Kwarteng, father of late dancehall musician, Ebony Reigns, has revealed that his daughter was verbally abused on several occasions by her manager, Bullet of Rufftown Records. According to him, Ebony at the latter part of her music career was not the least happy with her management due to how poorly they handled her.  There were reports that the young award winning artiste was actually bent on parting ways with the record label that discovered and made her a star, days before her death.
